Yarde's car apparently caught fire when she was on her way to work on the set in Surrey, England.
Crowe's kindness was apparently sparked by Yarde commenting to him that he did not have to worry about finding £5,000 in funds for a new car. Crowe reportedly took pity on the girl and presented her with £10,000 to buy a new car. He is quoted as saying, "There you go. You can buy a £10,000 car now."
Russell Crowe has been noted many times in the press for his generosity.
